We The Mountaineers of Appalachian State University in order to form a more perfect college football setting, establish loyalty, ensure a winning tradition, provide for the common defense of a National Title, promote the school we so love, and secure the blessings of Fall Saturdays to ourselves and our posterity do ordain and establish these App Laws for Appalachian State University. 1. Anyone who goes to or holds a degree from Appalachian State University and insists on cheering for another school in place of, or more importantly in front of an ASU intercollegiate athletics team should get the hell off our Mountain. We don't need you, and we surely don't want you. Turn in your diploma and take it off your resume. 2. If I have my radio headphones on at a game, don't ask me how Carolina is doing. That's not the game I have tuned in, pal. 3. When you wear the Black and Gold be respectful in every thing you do because you are not just representing yourself, but legions of Mountaineers who came before you. 4. If you sit on the east side and refer to it as the visitor’s side you run the risk of being asked to leave premises (ASU fan or not). 5. Appalachian State football has gotten to the point where the only victories that will be observed are scoreboard victories. Moral victories can be reserved for teams like Western Carolina and VMI. 6. Every effort should be made to keep a tailgating experience at ASU in the Appalachian spirit. While listening or watching broadcasts of other sporting events — including college events — is acceptable, the sound of said broadcast should be kept to a volume audible to those tailgaters in that individual area. Said tailgater has no right to go over to another tailgater listening to an Appalachian broadcast and ask him/her to turn it down. Said tailgater will also be in violation of App Law #7 should he/she leave an Appalachian athletics event prior to its conclusion in order to resume viewing and/or listening to the broadcast of an athletic event of another institution. 7. Wearing the colors of another university while attending an ASU event, sporting or social, or while on the campus of ASU will not be allowed. App laws were written and ratified by the voting members of fan sites dedicated to the support of Appalachian State University. They are not in any way connected to the official position of Appalachian State University.
